Gardening with Nan and Blue (the dog)

This weekend I did a lot of gardening, some with Nan and some at my house.  At Nan's I did a lot of digging; at home we planted a baby sumach tree, forget-me-not seeds and a bleeding heart plant.  We found so many worms -they were everywhere!  Mom was very brave and picked one up.  I like looking at them but not touching them.
They are much slimier than Penny.

I am versatile.

I got a new Craft Set with scissors just for me!

Wow, who knew scissors could be so much fun!?
I like them so much that I take them in the bath with me and I asked
mom if I could take them to bed, but for some reason she said no.
Go figure.

Karma and Bike Tires...

Mom and dad worked hard doing some spring cleaning this weekend.  They consulted with me about which of my various large, noisy baby items I was willing to get rid of.  We settled on: my exersaucer, 2 walkers that play music and drumbeats, a whole bunch of baby toys (I am now a big girl) and a couple of other big, plastic, fisher-price-like items.  Mom and dad put these items out in front of our house for people to take for free.  Within 3 hours all items had been rescued and taken to new homes.

Which brings me to my point about karma and bike tires; namely that they both go around and around.  On our way to the grocery store dad spotted a little green bike with training wheels with a sign on it saying "free". I am pretty little for bike riding but dad says it is never too soon to start biking (Mom rolled her eyes).

Dad said that if I start training now, in 10 years or so I can be on the Ride for Heart team with him.  If you want to sponsor my dad on his annual June 75km bike ride, go to www.rideforheart.ca and click on 'sponsor a participant'.

Top 5 reasons why I love being a COWGIRL!!

There are a lot of great things about being a Cowgirl and I will tell you my top 5.  Being a Cowgirl involves playing more diverse roles than a cowboy (note absence of capital 'c').  As a shout-out to all Cowgirls being fabulous in our diverse roles, let us review:

SCOUT'S TOP 5 REASONS WHY
BEING A COWGIRL IS GREAT!!

#1.  You can flirt with cowboys
(especially those named 'Aiden') with a kissy-face
kind of look, paired with a fabulous outfit.
This same combo of
kissy-face and garb works well for mocking said cowboys
when they don't want to play in the sandbox with you.

#2.  You can use your pink ten-gallon hat to do
 magic tricks, 'wowing' your audience
by pulling out a horsey.

#3.  You can use your fabulous psychadelic
Cowgirl outfit, including golden
Mardi Gras beads, as props for enacting
your favourite screenplay from the Wild West.

#4.  For Cowgirls only, said Mardi Gras beads
double as a girlie lasso, useful when
taking down errant cowboys.

#5.  As the smart, beautiful, funny, charming,
musical, shy, curious and thoughtful
Cowgirl that I am,
the sky is the limit and every day is an adventure.
As a Cowgirl I can play many roles
and have many more to discover as I grow up.

Mom says I have one handsome daddy...

...but I just think he's great.

Attack of the Red Blob...

Don't be fooled by its warm, snuggly comfort...it has the ability to swallow you whole!
