From the garden-files, For the garden-philes

Bee-haven is one of my new faves.
We got our first ripe tomato from our little garden yesterday and I ate
The. Whole. Thing.
in about 2 minutes flat.

Daddy's little girl!

Al Bundy would be proud.

This is the very first week that I am attending school
wearing "big girl underwear"!
This is a BIG deal.

Mom says that sometimes learning new things is a bit tricky,
but I just need to keep trying. She says I'm doing a great job.
I told mom that I learn new things every day and
yesterday, I learned that peeing in the potty at school
is not scary.

I also told mom that soon I will be a big woman with big boobies,
and then I will pee in the potty every time.

(mom says for the sake of my social life, she hopes I am potty trained
BEFORE becoming a big woman!)

Blankets and Book-ends

This is a picture of the quilt mom made for me.  It was made with love and comes with a story.  Here's how we tell it.

When I was growing in mom's tummy, she started knitting squares of all different kinds of wool.  Mom says she only knows how to knit in straight lines, and little squares are not overwhelming to think about making.  Mom knit and knit all the squares, then started putting them together as a quilt...but then I was born and mom says life got kinda' busy.

Mom didn't work on the quilt for a long time, until this spring when Super-G was so sick.  Mom says she needed something to do with her hands, so she pulled out the quilt and started knitting like crazy (she gave me my own knitting to play with too, which is neat).

Mom finished the quilt just after Super-G died and she says it is a "Blanket of Life's Book-ends"  because she made it while I was growing and while Super-G was dying.

I don't really know what that means but I love my blanket and I love my mom.

I am still a Book-Worm.

Mom assures me this is a good way to be.
She says I am in good company.

I have many tricks...

Including...MAGIC TRICKS!
Watch closely and I will make a rabbit appear out of this hat...

Okay, abra-cadabra...

Now I will check under the hat to see what has appeared...

Uh-oh, it's not working.
Let's see...how to save face and wow my audience...?

Another abra-cadabra...
...and I have made a 2.5 year-old trickster appear!!

Watch out Criss Angel, David Blaine, Houdini...
...I'm on to you!

Cuddle time...

Cuddle time with my mom is precious time.  We whisper secrets and sing songs together and make up silly rhymes.  It's great.

It's fun to be me. We have good times.

Heads Up, Dad!
